Xplore – Teachings of  the Christian Faith

Dates: October 14 – November 11
Mondays 7:00pm – 8:15pm

In this class, you will explore the essential truths all of which are foundational to a life of victory, joy and intimacy with God and His Son Jesus Christ. Stop just saying that you believe and what it is that you believe, why you believe it and how you can apply  it to your everyday life!

Difficult Questions Christians Get Asked

Dates: October 14 – November 18
Mondays 7:00pm – 8:15pm

I Peter 3:15 admonishes all Christians to “always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have”. There are many misconceptions about Christianity and the Christian life. This class can actually improve your witness by equipping you with answers to difficult questions you get asked by kids, family members and friends. Stop cringing every time you get asked a question about your faith. Be prepared to stand on God’s Word with chapter and verse to defend what you believe, why you believe it and how you are living it out in your daily life.

Missions/Reaching the World for Christ

Dates: October 14 – November 18
Mondays 7:00pm – 8:15pm

Christ’s last and most important directive to Christians, The Great Commission, is found in Matthew 28:19-20, “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” This course will challenge you to answer the question of whether you have gone and whether you have taught. The answer for many Christians is no. This is because we don’t know how and we don’t fully understand the purpose and magnitude of a World Missions ministry in the local church. It’s time to re-educate our church family on what Christ meant when he issued this command so that we will not be found lacking when he returns!

Safe Conversations

Dates: October 14 – November 18
Mondays 7:00pm – 8:15pm

Proverbs 15:4 says, “A soothing tongue is a tree of life, but a perverse tongue crushed the spirit.” Colossians 4:6 instructs Christians to,”Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer each person.” Talking can be one of the most dangerous things we do. Christians grow in community but often conflict stunts that growth. Words do matter!
This Safe Conversations workshop helps students to develop an effective communication skill that teaches them how to talk and listen to each other with mutual respect and real connection. The quality of relationships is inextricably linked to emotional, physical and spiritual well-being.
