Purpose Statement and Lesson Focus

One’s 6th - 8th graders meet every Sunday morning for DV8.  This is a time of worship, announcements, teaching, and small group discussions.

DV8 exists to bring Middle School students into a saving knowledge of Christ, train them in a life of discipleship, and equip them to serve both God and man. (Matt. 28:19-20)  To be more like Christ, students are encouraged not to conform but rather to “deviate” from the norm. (Rom. 12:2)

We aim to shatter the stereotype that church is boring and the Bible is irrelevant.  DV8 is exciting. Biblical lessons are creative and applicable to students’ everyday life.  Here relationships are established and community is experienced.

Plain and simple, DV8 is the place to be for students that love to hang out, make new friends, laugh a lot, and explore the Bible in a fun and laid back environment.
